Just wondering which motherboard would be better suited for an old gaming PC with Windows 98SE on it ? I remember back in those days the S370 and there was also the Slot 1 which ran the Pentium 2-3 and later there were the tualatin P3 CPU models, on the AMD side of things all there was, was the Socket A which had a long run I think and there were all kind of CPUs, the AMD Barton being the best I think.
But which board would be the best suited from intuition I would say Socket A but the socket A CPUs werent so robust as the coppermines and tualatine P3 CPUs I think on the other hand socket 370 ran with intel and via chipsets which werent the best AGP chipsets 😒
Any suggestions out there ?
