What I want? I want to record Dark Sun soundtrack from .midis to mp3 with Gravis UltraSound emulation. So help me please if you can... I have midi>mp3 recorder, GUS patches instaled (2 folders from this forum) and I heard that Timidity supports GUS emulation but I can't figure out how to setup these GUS patches in Timidity...

Tried also DOSBOX with GUS patches but it can't load .midi files only .mid ...so what is best way to do what I want without original sound device... I want to record these mp3s for my ipod... aha and I dont wan't to use GUS soundfonts with VirtualMIDISynth... tried this out already (Gravis_Ultrasound_Classic_PachSet_v1.6.sf2 - Gravis Ultrasound.sf2) ...but it sound worse than GUS+DOSBOX emulation, any helpful ideas? please... or I have to record all the mp3s from emulated game...

well... i'm dumb I just found it myself that midi=mid, i just changed their extensions and now dosbox-gus player detect them well, one more, how to record wavs with dosbox? thx.

useless thread, I just found most by myself, although question about Timiditys GUS support is still currently.

The README file should tell you how to record WAVs (under "5. Special Keys")

hi lei lei, 🤣 yeah i discovered it, also Timidity won't help me much, since it require special conifguration file for gus patchs that must be compiled by user, and i don't have idea how to do it. so i'll rather record in classic way .wavs in dosbox gus midiplayer. does dosbox play gus patches correctly anyway? is there way to configure it? i can see under d-fend interface some options but i dont know what they are for:

adress :240
interrupt :5
dma :1

does these change anything on sound, or?

only samplerate: 44100 i know:) and its good
