Interesting read. I've recently acquired a PowerVR card; once I test to see if it works I'll take some images for comparison -- give me a few days/week or so.

I personally never seen an anti-aliased edge in a Glide game ever.... at least as far as I can recall on a Voodoo2 (obviously not v4/v5). The only edge smoothing i've noticed are artifacts of the 4x1 filter.
It does have an edge specific anti-aliasing feature. Probably game specific. Tomb Raider is mentioned here:

What's with the weird lines? Sync issues?
The topic you linked is hilarious I think... guys bragging about their mighty PPros and of course discussing the looks of Lara Croft 🤣
You mean the greenlines on the right? Those are sync issues with the Avermedia software. I could have cropped it away, but I didn't bother.
If you mean the subtle lines in the picture those are from VGA cable interference

In 1996 the PPro was a powerful CPU and the idea of a female as the lead character in a video game was still new.
I recently picjed up an ati rage pro "turbo" for $3. I'm using the correct drivers and CIF file according to the chart you guys linked to earlier in the thread but when I try to start it I get a DirectDraw error
