First of all, look at those two... same model number but slightly different cards. Anyone know what the actual difference is?

Three Live! cards with different model numbers: CT4670 (1998), CT4830 (1999), SB0220 (2002). Which one is better?

This SB Live! guide contains your answers

Also, I have heard that SB0220 has problems with DOS, and some troubles with drivers setup.

The first two are likely Ensoniq AudioPCI siblings. The others are Live! The Live! are newer and I would say "better". Amongst them though? No clue. Whatever works I guess 😀

My CT4670 works with these drivers.
http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/115903-compil … for-windows-9x/

I had to try 3 different versions of Live! before I found one that would work with that driver pack.

SB0100 and CT4830 would not work with that pack or with the official WDM driver pack.
One CT4830 would work with an old LiveWare cd for a Live! 1024 but another one did not.

CT4780 and SB0220 did not work with the official WDM or the LiveWare CD.
I did not try the compilation driver pack with these cards because by then I had already found the two cards I needed.

The model number is not the important factor though, the PCI ID string is.

(All these cards works in Windows XP using the KX driver pack)

When it comes to the Ensoniq AudioPCI cards it looks like one has an amplifier chip and jumpers to activate it.
The other one only supports line out. They are otherwise more or less identical.

(I could be wrong)
