I've read all the other star control 2 posts and have many similar problems. I've use /g:bios, but it only seems to work with melee. When I run the full game, the colors screw up at the Ur-Quan drone dialogue. I've tried to use vdmsound, but there wasn't any sound. I tried the methods posted on the forum, but it didn't make a difference. Also, the speedset would cause some kind of error. However, when I tried running it with vdmsound and turned off both sound and music everything seemed normal, but plain without any music. I've gotten the game to work using dosbox with the exception of the colors and using vdmsound without the sound. If only there was a way to combine both so I can have my color and sound. I need help please. BTW, I've tried soundFX too. It had sound but was really slow. 😢 I also know about the remake, but I just want to play the original... 😒

did you use the original star control 2 ?
If you use a hacked one (e.g a .com file) then the /g:bios doesn't work as the hack doesn't give the commandline parameters to real program.

It works, but it sucks to have to type it everytime I want to play. Is there another crack that uses it or rather a way to edit the crack?

I am having the same color issues in Star Control 2 with the Ur-Quan screen, but I am using a legitimate CD (the SC 1/2 disc included with some versions of SC3). It eliminates the star-map requirement at the beginning, but it's not exactly a 'cracked' version. What would you recommend I do to fix it? I'm not sure what crack is being referred to above.
