Hi all!

I installed VDMSound for one login user in XP Home, and it works great! But the login for the other user (me) does NOT have the Open With VDMSound option on the file context menu...

Anyone know how I can enable VDMSound context menus for ALL users???

Thanks much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Install VDMSOund 2.1.0 (beta) - the LaunchPad included in there appears for all users IIRC.

Thank you vladr!!!

Ooh, I just read the release notes for it, and it looks like it /might/ cause a system crash or reboot problem - yikes! Thank you so much for the reply, but those notes scare me a bit - think I'd better wait till Beta goes "You Betcha", 🤣!

Ah, Regedit to the rescue... working now, I just exported the batchfile/comfile/exefile "runwithdvms" keys and imported them into my own login area's registry (with the Tip folder too). All better now.

I do appreciate your kind and prompt reply. I will keep checking back to see when the new build is truly safe...

Thanks!

2.1.0 is perfectly safe for Win2k and WinXP - for wahetevr reason, it seems that NT4 screwed up on some systems because of the Microsoft DLL's included with VDMSound.

Glad to hear 2.0.4 works for you now, though.

Cheers,
