I see only a Windows 98SE which will set you back over $100. Why not get this one instead? 😀

Because that's only a replacement disc without any manual, which is necessary for installation?

For Windows 98 SE, I just wanna refresh my fogottten childhood mermory since it was the beginning of my first PC life(from 6 years to early teen's). The manual might be necessary that I will able to manage and easy to tell you guys about any problem such as installation(differenst from installing Linux).

Notes: Gees, finding a cheap CRT seems to be tough though.
Is it okay to use Cool Master's case (purchase in my local market)?

Well, at first I saw it was just a standard 98SE oem version. Iirc the oem version of 98SE was also bootable while the retail version requires a floppy disk (I could be wrong though).

But after I read your post, I had another good look at the disk itself and noticed that part of the writings is off the edge? It doesn't look like a CDR at first, but now I'm not so sure this is an original disk anymore. If it isn't, then he might as well just "find other means" (even though personally I vastly prefer to have the original media).

Personally I never bothered with the manual as it is outdated anyway.

Edit: I didn't compare it to an original disk, but the part number of this particular CDROM is also written in the center ring of the disk, which is another indication this might simply be a misprint?

Edit2: Ow now I see! It hasn't a product key! 😊

I paid 3$ for this release at a local dealer. The person has a few more pieces, all in unsealed cartons.

Anyway, delivery will make it too expensive for you. My point is - wait for software. I can't believe you don't have some local forum for selling misc stuff.

One more candidate for the socket A path 😀
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Epox-EP-8KTA3-Motherb … =item2ec8b6e3d1

Finding a nice, old 300/350/400W PSU should not be an issue.

But it's too expensive. Avoid spending more than 20-25$ for MBs. If you start this madness, you won't end with only one board 😀

I'd say, why not get that one? It seems like a good start anyway.
You can always get the English version at a later moment, right??

I think so. I'm also able to save more money if I find this legacy cd in my house. I agree with you though. One thing that I'm worrying about is will the unofficial SPs be compatible with Korean OS 😵.

P.S. I am going to tell some stories about my market. The imported ones are ridiculously expensive (e.g. GTX 780 sells around $700 to $900 which shows that Ebay and US are cheaper than that) and people love obsolute flagship models such as Iphone 5S whatever they fit his or her aim or not.

Another list(plz choose to exclude for PSUs and boards): http://cart.payments.ebay.com/sc/view

Btw, are these cables possible to reuse to my rig?

Again I only see the expensive 98SE and it asks me to log in.

It's true that for flagship models people ask a lot of money. It's why I personally stick with the somewhat lesser models. Almost the same performance but for a cheaper price 😀

And about the cables, I already mentioned you can reuse them, but only if the cables will not be too short and that will be determined by what motherboard and case you end up with.

Edit: I did some googling and afaict there never was a Korean 98SE SP. Or at least none that I could find. Even finding the Dutch version gave me a couple dead links (good thing I already downloaded that one a while ago)

It means that the vendors on this site sell the Win 98 SE (DSP) at $10 as direct dealing (Translatio in English for you). If you are hard to choose or say, can you give another link for cheap Eng ver of Win 98 SE on Ebay?

I'm not sure, but I'm not touching that link!

Call me paranoid, but I'd rather be safe then sorry.

Here is the "official" download page, I got this page via msfn.org

Since your computer does not have Korean unicode, I am sure that it might be hard to see anything with crashed characters. My laptop has problem for displaying Korean at first since I bought it in Malaysia before I add Korean language(Eng version of ASUS with Win 7).

Buy list 3: http://cart.payments.ebay.com/sc/rfc (Choose board and PSU on my list)

Note: You might be surprised that my country is only good for Windows users since most of sites(include government's!) support Windows IE only (less compatible features for Linux, Mac OS, Chrome and other browsers/OSes). They are started and tried to support them but this stupid browser is still required for all activities(banking...) due to the Active-X 😐.

For the third time, I don't see your list. It asks me to log in and the only thing I see is that expensive 98SE.

Please just paste the individual links here if you want to ask us if the parts you chose are any good.

This is insane. Period.

Now straight to the topic.

1) Asus CUSL2 (or any other intel 815 board, to the best of my knowledge) DO NOT HAVE ISA slots. Where are you going to put the AWE 64 gold in?

2) If you are to pay that sum, aim for the best. Go for TUSL2-C. Best 815 board for me. (still no ISA, so the AWE64 gold is not an option).

3) The Epox is still an option - it has one ISA slot. Or get back to BX440 chipset. Decide if you want the AWE64 Gold

4) CASE, PSU, FDD, ODD, HDD even Monitor ... you can always get for free. Or from some local junkyard 😀

5) I saw no videocard in your list. I would suggest you get a nice Geforce3 Ti 200 (or even better - Ti 500). It's more ... spicy, than Ti 4200(4400/4600). Though quite slower than them. Geforce 3 is a legend. You could get Radeon 9700 Pro though - that would be the best card with AGP 2x support, I think.

Then, do you have any idea for boards that supports p3-S tualatin with ISA slots?

Because of stupid imorted charges and shipping fees, that makes me mad though 😠

But still, it's cheaper than my modern rig plan (since it is made for computing practice and high-end gaming, the cost might be $1200 to $2000 above 😢 ). Again, my IT market is more expensive than yours 🤣.

Then you have to find a board with the VIA 694T chipset
Here is a list with s370 motherboards. My suggestion would be to search for the boards that have the VIA 694T chipset and see which ones have an ISA slot
