I have run some comparison between this daughterboard and Terratec Maestro 3296, and my conclusion is that SCW0001/2 blows 😀
I mean, it has some nice samples, but over all in cakewalk demo 5 when playing Warcraft 2 music i notice some sounds missing (less polyphony?) and overall better samples/effects on Maestro.

I than thought i should sell it, but i couldn't find any Ebay auctions with price to make my conclusion.
Can any one help me out with their opinion? I don't really need it.

Plus it seems Base64 has hanging note bug. Or maybe its cakewalk, i dunno (i set it on general midi).

Older SAM9203 sometimes misses quick successions of midi program changes, where the SAM9233 on the Maestro does better.
There is no SAM8905 Programmable Effects processor on the daughterboard, and the ROM set is 1 or 2MB. The Maestro has the full 4MB.

My humble opinion:
If one keeps up the illusion of 'it may sound good': E 25,- 😉
When people know it is just a so so wavetable, but a daughterboard nonetheless: E 15,-
A Dream based Daughterboard with all the features of the Maestro 32/96 would be around 2/3 of the Roland SCB-55 price. Like E 50,- to 70,-

I recently added 21 recordings from this sound module to my website. Some instruments are for sure from the roland sound canvas but I think some other instruments are from other soundfonts. My conclusion is that the module sounds a bit unharmonic. And it lacks the effects processor, some reverb would have been great.
But overall it is really not that bad.

Just released a video with the SCW001 playing some Warcraft II Orcs music.

I think it can held up with other lower to mid segment modules quite well but have to record some more tracks to get a bigger picture.
