Hi,
I was so happy, that "The Riddle of Master Lu" really worked with DosBox.
The problem is, that when any sound is playing, just like the speech (which works perfectly) the game slows down and I only see a slideshow.
Is it possible that the video card that is emulated by DosBox is too slow for this game?

Is it a major problem because DoxBox needs so much ressources? Or can I fix that problem?

Edit: I should have tried a little more 😀
The game was so slow because it was the window mode.
I tried it in full screen mode, and now it is working perfect 😀

Hi Taralos,
How did you get The Riddle of Master LU to work in DOSbox? Mounted my CDRom drive then opened it up and typed install got a bunch of error messages. Copied all the CDROM files to my HD, mounted my C: drive with the directry C:\games\Riddle then typed install still got the error messages. Then I tried to work directly with the EXE Which is in a subdirectory Goodstuf. DOSbox wouldn't recognize the Goodstuf directory. This game is listed as being fully supported so why won't it run?

Use the right cycles and frameskip settings to get the best speed.

these depend on your system:

I use cycles 10000 and frameskip 1 on a AMD 2400+ with Win98SE. At it runs just smooth and perfect!

To the second poster: Riddle works great for me - not any problem.
