I just downloaded Catacomb Abyss from the Abandonware site. I mounted it to my Dosbox like I've done with my other games. The game starts to play.... it shows the start-up credits, then it asks me to choose my skill level (novice or warrior). I've tried clicking on both options, but no matter which option I try, the game kicks me out after it shows the beginning storyline. It goes back to the Dosbox screen & shows the error "Cannot find executable".

Does anyone have any experience with this game on Dosbox?? I don't know if there's a problem with the file or if I mounted it wrong.

Sorry, but we don't support "abandonware" here. 😜 There is a shareware version of Catacomb Abyss that works fine in vanilla DosBox IIRC.

How can I find the Shareware version?? When I did a google search, the abandoneware was the first one that showed up, then something from dosgamearchive (or something like that), but my antivirus program said the site was unsafe.

Catacomb Abyss was a shareware episode so it shouldn't matter where it was downloaded from.

Or maybe try my gamepackarchive named 'Ancient DOS Games Collection II', that one also contains (shareware) Catacomb.
