Hi

Just downloaded, ran the trial, and immediately registered - absolutely superb job, vv well done.

Small irritation though.

My computer is set up as follows
When running XP
Drive c: (win 98)
Drive d: zip drive
Drive e: win xp drive
drive f: dvd drive
drive g: cd writer

Now, when downloded Gildos, deleted and reinstalled tombraider, and the rushtomb.exe, and Gildos, so that tomb raider would have all the right drive setups in its config (TR loaded onto default c:\tombraider, cd drive e:)

But when start Gildos, with the cd in drive e:, it demands that I put something into drive d: before it starts so I have to put a zip disc into the drive.

I understand why it does this having read the faqs, (old games expecting a cd in the drive), but the game, if anything is expecting a cd in drive e:

Now, a suggestion - perhaps the TR settings file could be read to check the locations of cds etc, before demanding that a disc be inserted into the cd?

Any way, good job again!

Chris

I don't believe TR records the drive setup in its config files. As far as I know it scans through the drives each time you run it. And it has a bug where it crashes if it finds an empty drive while looking for the CD. So you will need to put something in D:. And if you put the CD in G: then you will need to put something in F:. Nothing to do with Glidos: it just warns you of the problem to avoid the crash.

If you want the background music to work, the CD has to be in the first CD drive, F: in your case.

Cheers,
Paul.
