I waited for a while for a program like this, just cruising around google looking for one in vain I found DOSBOX, this program is absolutely fantastic, it ran one of the greatest 2D animating program ever created, Autodesk Animater 1.0 (1989), it ran flawlessly, although getting a tad excited I tried Animator Pro (updated version) but Animator Pro could not create its temporary files, this could be my fault though cos I put Windos XP on drive E and kept C open for other operating systems (yes I love dos programs so much I keep a drive handy to put a whole operating system to run my programs)

Ok I do this all the time, but I just have to release my anger at bill gates, WHY YOU STUPID DUM PRICK HAVE TO WRECK DOS FOR IN XP, YOU STUPID SELFISH CRAP PROGRAMMING IMBECILE, YOUR DOS EMULATION IS AS CRAP AS YOUR GLASSES! has anyone tried any dos programs on windows xp, allmost 90% of em dont work!! if not 100% I havent been able to run any dos program on this crap of crap DOS emulation of XP!

Well done to the crew of DOSBOX, you really did embarass the fools at microsoft making a betterdos emulation then the creators, perhaps if the crew of DOSBOX create an operating system......

This program is a dream come true, I would love to donate to this cause, if you have a paypal account or anything please disclose a link for donation.

Yeah man, Animator rules. I own Animator Pro, and I really hope the next DOSBox release can emulate it too.

Let's admit MS-DOS sucked big time, even for me (an ms-dos purist). Microsoft just have a bunch of crappy programmers, but i think WinNT kerneled O.Ses are quite good (for being MS). The problem is that most of newer developed apps/games nowadays JUST SUCK. On the ms-dos era (and before) they was a lot more originality than now and things were programmed with heart. But that's a very old argument, btw. 😁

I totally agree, mainly talking about games. Games used to be developed in state-of-art, usually by a few people with total lack of tools and technology, people used to put their hearts on it, and we have a bunch of terrific games from this era. Today the market offers zillions and zillions of games, developed with the most modern technologies/effects etc. by really huge teams, and even bigger investments, and still (except for a few titles) games suck, they're all the same polygonal crap. There isn't a bit of art or gameplay, just an expensive product someone wants to sell you.
