Foey - nice Pentium scores Is it actually stable for long periods at 250mhz?
Is it the SDR version or the DDR on that geforce256? Test it either way 🤣.

It's the DDR version, creative.
Thanks! The Pentium is very stable at 250mhz, not even a voltage adjustment required! Didn't have one issue running at that speed. Ran various games and benchmarks. My K6-2 450 is very unstable at 75mhz on the fsb, let alone 83mhz

Other benchmarks are now also crashing. Turns out the driver put the clocks back to 93 Mhz instead of 90 😵
Tried capturing but the AVerMedia doesn't like the 800 x 600 output of the Voodoo. What a pain...
Anyway watching the World Cup now. Back in my retro lab tomorrow. Well today, just later.

Really great results. What driver set are you using?
Was just messing around on one my own Voodoo II machines and noticed Voodoo Control does not work with the Voodoo II, I thought it did.
Another Utility called Voodoo 2 Tweaker tho let me disable v-sync on the voodoo II.
Gonna posts benchmarks soon.

Score seems low but it doesn't change with 32-bit color so it maybe is ok, as this GPU should be the bottleneck by the CPU on this system.

Score off? all three seem lower then they should be.
Okido here are the results for a 3.2 GHz Pentium 4 with Voodoo 2 SLI 😀
Images are bit blurry at 1600 x 1200 but you should be able to read all the details. Just right click and view the image in another tab.
Interesting, subhuman@xgtx posted a score with an oced barton of a little over 7k.
Dual V2's like amd more? or the FSB is affecting the score greatly.
And That FX 5700u machine I posted above isn't acting weird in other benches\games something off with the drivers I used in 99 on it. Can't use the 40 series with the 5700 like you can with the 5800 which is annoying as they are more stable\compatible on the FX cards in 9x.
Yea I don't overclock / tune. All stock standard. Could be many reasons 😀
I think overclocking old hardware is really silly. Just grab something faster 🤣

Your system scores as it should. My V2's score @stock clocks hovers at around 6.1k.
When things go right, getting more of the hardware is fun though 😀
Ok,ok back in the day when I was cash strapped I was also overclocking 😀
But I just can't do it with this old hardware now. Got to look after it.

Really nice score indeed. I was curious about this because I get around the same framerate in Test 1- around 152 fps with my system and a 5500 @ 188mhz but the fps on the second test are about 25 less than yours
Finished working with the V2 cards, so I wanted to test a few AGP cards under W98 on the Asrock P4 S478 board. Wanted to try an ATI Radeon 9800 card. Good old ATI > Blue screen after driver installation 🤣
So I will test a few Nvidia cards I haven't tested before. First up is a Nvidia Quadro FX 2000. This is the workstation equivalent to the FX 5800 (non Ultra) I believe.
The Quadro has dual DVI outputs, so this was also a chance to test out this DVI 1 to 4 splitter I got a while ago. Works great! Screenshots taken with the AVerMedia GameBroadcaster HD through DVI > HDMI adapter.
Driver is the latest one from Nvidia: Version 81.98
Release Date Wed Dec 21, 2005
Here with a slow P4:
Here with a fast one:
Here with a FX5950 Ultra. This is my fastest W98 SE compatible AGP card. I have two 6600GT AGP cards but both don't POST 😒
Almost no improvement over the FX 5800 so I guess the CPU is holding everything back...

Its a Pentium 4 😜
What else can you expect. Arguably Intel's worst series since the 8088/8086

I love the P4, Northwood that is. The platform is rock stable and a joy to work with.
Here is another result:
This is with a Quadro4 XGL, the workstation version of the GeForce4 Ti 4800 (also known as 4600 AGP 8x), the top GeForce4.
