Picked this one up yesterday from a charity shop for £5. I'm sure you remember ESCOM? The company that bought Commodore in 1995(the year this PC was built) and made the last of the Amiga A1200's, also bought out Rumbelows that same year, then when bust catastrophically in 1996.
Anyhow this is a pentium 100mhz machine(AT), Intel NX motherboard, 8mb RAM, Trident 1mb PCI graphics, Dual speed CD_ROM, ESS soundcard, pretty much untouched since it left the factory, obviously it had not been upgraded or used much by the looks(no dust inside whatsoever) also had the original keyboard(Mitsumi) and Escom mouse. She powers up fine and boot up off a floppy with no problems, need to find an appropriate hard drive no I guess as this was missing.

Anyone knows who was the manufacturer of this case? It looks like most of the cases that were used in Poland during the mid 90'. I've managed to track down manufacturers of some of them (JNC and Task), but I'm still interested in the other cheap Chinese manufacturers of the 90'.

BSA Starfire, Thank you for posting!

Our first family PC was a Escom, We bought it from the high street. This was the exact case and machine I had back in 1995/6, although my specifications were slightly different...

Pentium 75mhz
8mb EDO Ram
1Gb Hard Drive
1mb Graphics Card
Aztech ISA Sound Card (SB Pro Compat, IRQ5, DMA3) 😊
4x CD-ROM
Floppy
Windows 95, We paid extra for Word 7.0

We later upgraded the Ram to 24mb, replaced the dead graphics card for a 4mb ATi Rage and in 2000 upgraded the processor to 133mhz. I loved that machine. I still had it in 2006, however I chucked it... big regret 😢 - I learnt DOS/Windows on it!

I think I have the original leaflet round my parents, i'll try and dig it out next time I'm there and scan it!

Sorry to dig up an old thread but this is/was my dream PC! I had the P75 version of this in the exact same tower case and I have a dream that one day I will own such a machine again as my first PC was from Escom! A few months after purchasing such a beast I ended up working in one of their stores before being made redundant when the lease on the shop expired.

The machine is still around and working well, however I passed it onto a friend also interested in retro computing(you can't keep them all!), it's still in the same town it was found in the UK.

Very nice blast from the past.

Back in 95 when I got my first PC I remember Escom having a shop in the same district as the school we were attending. Before getting my PC, which was a Vobis btw, I would glance at the Escom shop nose rubbed against the train's window every day on the way to school.

It truly was something special back then, but I think in 97 or 98 the shop and Escom itself was already done for...?
It all changed really fast and in the 2000s these vendors were gone and forgotten and replaced by a more generic bunch.
