Hi.
I downloded dosbox 0.74 from its official website and installed it correctly on my win8.1 dell laptop.
But when i run it, it opens for a second and crashes. So I took screenshot to see the error.
It shows "Exit to error: can't init SDL DirectInputDevice::SetDataFormat: Invalid Parameters"
I don't know whats the solution but whenever plug an optical mouse it works like charm and doesn't crash.
I want to get its permanent solution so that i can run it without everytime inserting mouse.

It's a problem with SDL library. I think you can work around it by setting environment variable SDL_VIDEODRIVER=windib for Dosbox. Here's another relevant thread (Resolved)Crash on startup - Can't init SDL DirectInput::CreateDevice: Device not registered
