Here's the problem:
All the games I've tried in DOSBox 0.61, the sound skips on and off rapidly, and the game is jittery if there is sound. Turning off sound makes them run fine. I heard there is something I can download to fix this. Is it VDMSound? SDL? Where would I put these things? (DOSBox directory I assume?)

Here's my system:
WinXP
Athlon 1.2
512 RAM
