All the above problems were caused by some Windows operating systems having corrupted information concerning the registration state of ATL.DLL. The fix is to simply run the following command:

regsvr32 C:\Windows\System32\ATL.DLL

Having corrupt information on ATL.dll will also disable proper registration for DLLs from other installation program other than VDMsound, so this fix is a MUST!

i know 2.10 installer copy this file ATL.Dll fo system directory. ... maybe that's what caused problem....

This will allow you to install 2.10 with successful integration to Windows Explorer,

Allow you to successfully register dll modules while installing 2.04

and so on....

Also instantiation module problem was caused by completing the installation without registering dlls required for the program. hope this helps for those who had problem with above problems.
