I got this guy in from eBay last year, but only messed with it for a bit before deciding it was reference material disguised as a game. Then today I was reading it's entry on Moby Games and it talks about the user being able to take control, make decisions, talk to advisors, etc...
Now, there are 2 halves to the game. An encyclopedia of images and sounds about Desert Storm and a supposed game called Coalition Command.
When I run the coalition command batch file the game installs, it runs a quick movie showing some units attack Iraq from a top down strategic view with a day timeline running at the top. It then switches to a top down view of a specific tank battle. Afterwards it drops to the dos prompt. Key presses do nothing. Apart from this, the game disc seems to be full of broken batch files. I find batch files referencing folders that don't exist (one repeatedly calls the folder C:\bob) and goto tags that have no label associated with them (like a "goto top" command, even though there is no :top label).
I found one bat file that is just a paragraph of text stating that running the demo a user can press any key to stop the demo or press control break to take control. None of that worked for me.
Another text file describes the command line to call the game, however the way it describes the command line and the way the command line exists in the batch files provided doesn't quite work together. And trying to use the command line as described in the text file causes errors.
Has anyone else played this game and gotten it to work? The last time around I figured maybe the game part was on the windows part of the disc, so today I fired up win 3.1 in dosbox and installed the agme there just to find out that the windows portion of the disc is just another version of the encyclopedia with the exact same resources.
