do DOSbox solved this problem?

Hope someone can help me on this.

Thanks

PS: I have seen that I can buy a PCMCIA to seriel that con handle dos, but it is expensive.

I think we cannot help you.
DOSBOX does not care about physical ports, it uses your keyboard/mouse/joystick and make them accessible to DOS programs regardless of how they are connected (because it is doing it through host OS - usually Windows). Well, it is not recommended to use non USB joysticks, but that is another problem.
However this functionality is provided *only* for programs *inside* DOSBOX. DOSBOX will not help your DOS programs outside of DOSBOX in any way.
