Hello,
I am attempting to use Dosbox to run a program called 'DosMenu'. I have it installed, and runs the dos program great, except for when the program wants to access the directory of the server on the network. I can change the setup of the program. Now it is set to 'G' on the server (assuming this was win 98), but what do I change it to if I am mounted from Linux? It is something like /mnt/main/data........ Any information is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hmm, I don't know if I understand you correctly but have you tried mounting
/mnt/main/data as G: in dosbox?

Well,
Yes. I see after reading more posts that mapping to a drive is not currently supported under Dosbox, so I will keep trying other stuff.
The Dos program I am trying to use, gets and saves it's data on the shared directory of the server. Our company uses a couple programs that are very specific to Windows. Mas 90, Direct Access, and Keytrix. So far They are impressed with Mandrake 10.0, but need to support those few legacy programs.

Thanks,

Robert

well if your network drive is called D in windows
or mounted under linux at /mnt/D

you can just type in dosbox
mount d d:\
or
mount d /mnt/D

in both cases you get in dosbox a D that corresponds to either D:\ or /mnt/D

Water flows down the stream
How to ask questions the smart way!

Well,
that is interesting. I did try to point the dos program to a dir as the drive, but it says that only C: and Z: are available drives? I am curious where it is picking that up from?
