Hey, I recognise that small FM radio! Used to have one as a kid too 😀.

Lol I can't tell you how many of those I've seen in junk stores around here.
Check me out at Transcendental Airwaves on Youtube! Fast-food sucks!
Nice to see a big brother of my Satellite 200CDT getting showcased. The question is though; can it last for nearly an hour on a full charge like mine still can, with the original battery? 😜
I bought these a few days ago, but they just came today. Close enough.
From top left to bottom: AudioPCI, Matrox Mystique 220, Intel SE440BX-2 (I think so anyways. Seller had "Seattle2" in the title and it sure looks close to an SE440BX-2).
Musician & music gear/game reviewer.
MIDI hardware: JD-990, SC-55, SC-880, SD-90, VL70-m, Motif ES, Trinity, TS-10, Proteus 2000, XK-6, E6400U
Bought a couple of retro gear past days:
- a generic Voodoo 1 card (condition unknown, not tested yet)
- an S3 based ELSA Winner 2000Pro/X-PCI-4
- a Roland MT-32 (old one) with some scratches & dents, but otherwise fully working. It will make a nice complement to my Roland CM-300 😀
- K5 CPU to my humble collection, supposed to be OK. , I am waiting for the postman
I am sorry for the pictures quality, just made quick shots with my mobile.
98 runs pretty ok if you have 64 MB of RAM especially if you have a 486/100 but even a 66 should be workable.
Its W2K that gets painful

Ever tried XP with only 64 now that makes W2K look a lot better. 😵
On a far away planet reading your posts in the year 10,191.
Got a box full of stuff from the junkyard again... found many unusual ISA and VLB cards this time. Also some 386 boards with Cyrix 387, are these any good?
I love that every MT-32 has that ring of fingertip-wear around the volume knob.

That is beautiful. I like the angled front especially. Is the logo correct in that it has a 486DX2?

XP runs badly enough with 256MB, in my experience!

Agreed. I can't imagine it on 64MB; I've seen W2k on 64MB and it was bad enough. 😵 But agreed that for 98 it shouldn't be too much of a problem - if memory serves the last 98 install I did it was "idle" on the desktop with only ~30MB of memory in-use (the entire install was only like 200MB), whereas W2k and XP tend to want to hover around 100MB.

And that Logitech PS/2 card, didn't even know these existed!

It's probably a MousePort card, not PS/2. (Like this? Bought a Logitech 270120 8bit ISA Mouse port card, any info? )
If it IS a PS/2 card, then we really need to reverse-engineer it pronto.

On closer inspection, you're right, it slightly different from a normal PS/2 port.
Looking up the number on the PCB however, reveals that this is actually a Logitech Scanman Plus card... An interface card to connect a handheld scanner. Oh well. 🙁
🙁
Many disappoint.

Time to upgrade Guile (Dual Slot 1 P3) to silly proportions.
Two 1.4GHz Tualatin PIII's with 512KB Cache. Probably will run them at 1050MHz because I don't like pushing my BX board to 133MHz for long periods of time. These slotkets have their own VRMs onboard to get around the voltage problem, I am prepared for microcode-related warnings.
For those of you who have never encountered the machine and wonder about it's current configuration I did [url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X1X9HOQ6aKA[/url]a YouTube video on it a long time ago, early into using the formatted... err... format for my videos so it's not perfect. Another will follow in future if the upgrade is successful, planning on jamming a Radeon 4000 in there and seeing what happens if I run Crysis. Tempted to track down the RAIDPort thingy but I probably don't need it.
Got this Big Blue today... I´m not big fan of ibm but it´s kind of cool anyway 😀
IBM 300 GL Model 6282-730. P166 MMX, 64 mb EDO, somekind of hd and cd, haven´t check those out yet. Don´t know if it runs neither.
There's a little moisture inside, think i'm going to let it dry for few days 😀 took the heatsink off and it's cool ceramic MMX...Love those...
