there are actually two versions of sourcecode released, one using tcl/tk and one using python. you can see them here:

can any of the two compile in dos? and what compiler shall i use, can i use gnu c++ compiler or watcom c++ compiler?

This is the source code: http://www.donhopkins.com/home/micropolis/mic … vity-source.tgz. And there appears to be a tcl/tk for dos: http://wiki.tcl.tk/10257. It may be worth testing, but I have seen no posts of anyone building it that way.
