using dosbox or freedos?

I am blind and am trying to use dosbox in windows. I installed the flipper screen reader into dosbox. see this link. get flipper and sb-talker here.

anyway sb-talker with flipper is really slow. could we somehow get flipper piped out to espeak? I want to use old dos applications. thanks.

DOSBox is really only recommended for games as there are a lot of shortcuts taken for performance and other reasons, but this often breaks applications that rely on the the things that are left out of DOSBox that are not needed in games, like share. Perhaps vDOS would be better suited for your needs.
