I've recently managed to run the game on Win 8.1, thanks to dgVoodoo. It works fine, but there is one problem with it: once in a while it doesn't start and runs the installer instead. It can't be run again unless I reinstall it. I haven't noticed any pattern, it just randomly refuses to work. I've got the game from a Polish gaming magazine KŚ Gry; it seems to be already patched to the newest version.

Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

My laptop specs: Win 8.1 64-bit, i7, Intel GPU + GT755M.

Make sure you run as administrator when installing it. If it still happens, disable system restore, install the game and enable it again.
