I have a machine with FreeDOS as its sole OS, dedicated to running DOS games. I tried running setup from the RA allied CD, but before setup began, I got something along the lines of "jemmex exception ## occured at ####" and then a bunch of numbers and a message saying to press esc to abort the program. Memory problem I'm guessing?

JEMMEX is an open-source alternative to EMM386 if I recall correctly. Have you tried updating it to the latest version? FreeDOS 1.1 hasn't been updated in years and it's entirely possible that a new version of JEMMEX has been coded since.

Are you sure you want to play dos version of Red Alert its only 320X200.
