Hi there !

I just found out about DOSBox and hope that I'll be able to use it. But I got some troubles making it run.

When I start DOSBox a small window opens and I receive the message
"Welcome to Darwin!
Bodo-Zentners-Computer:~ bodo$ /Users/bodo/dosbox; exit
dyld: /Users/bodo/dosbox can't open library: /usr/local/lib/libSDL-1.2.0.dylib (No such file or directory, errno = 2)
Trace/BPT trap
logout
[Prozess beendet]"

I have installed the SDL library. I can find it under "Mac Harddrive/library/Frameworks/SDL.framework/SDL".

How can I tell DOSBox where it can find the SDL library ?

I would be cery happy if I would get some help !!

uhm use radnor.
and/or make symlink to were dosbox expects sdl to be .
Some googling may do wonders as well. as I've seen this problem on some mac sites as well.

I tried Radnor already. Doesn't work either.

Sorry, I don't know what a symlink is 😊

I will try some mac sides (but I'M also new to Mac... 😢 )

I will try googlr also...

Thanks anyway ! 😀

Well, I didn't find answers anywhere...
Can you tell me which SDL library I have to use ? maybe I've downloaded the wrong library and it does not fit with Mac OS 10.3...
Thanks !!

I got a little bit wiser. I do know now, that it all depends on the installation of the SDL. I found something on the net about this.

One last question: DOSBox searches for the library "SDL-1.2.0dylib".
Will it be content with the version 1.2.7 ?

yes. as long as it symlinked to file dosbox expects.
