i can install, but when i try to start game it says "cant find registry entry, please reinstall" and thats all... 😒
my specs: duron650, gf2mx, 256 ram, win xp sp1
any ideas?
did you try a compatiblity mode ?
and/or try install as administrator ?

i tried comptatiblity mode on fable.exe and it didnt work
i also tried compatiblity mode with installer (because i think it cannot write something in registry) but then it says "direct x failed to install. the game was not installed" 😒
and im administrator already so... 😖
Simple enough... the installer doesn't write the correct data to the Registry!
Run Regedit and navigate to the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Telstar\Fable
Edit the value for 'Path' to match that of your installation directory.
The game will play fine without the need for 'compatability' or whatnot. Only played a couple of screens but it all seemed to run fine (Win2K Sp4)
