I'm 30. No kids or wife yet! Hoping when I finally leave singleness she'll be a good soul and let me keep all my hardware 😁
24. House, truck (only an 08) and engaged. No kids and a good job (railroad).
Fiance doesn't bother me to much about my interests.. Just doesn't understand it.

Hey, us men really do not understand most of women's interests and do not bother them about theirs. So there is nothing wrong with that! 😊

Yeah. That's what my woman is telling me too. She just don't understand the hobby.
Guess my bonus here, is that whenever I am telling her that it makes me happy, then she is happy.
Like when I get a piece of hardware that I am happy about.
On the other hand, she has told me that if I can find a game she played in her childhood, she will be happy to play it.

brostensen: That is pretty cool man, keep on living the life and continuing the dream. It is an amazing thing that the fact that it makes you happy makes her happy, that is more or less what it is all about and vice versa. Do everything you can to become closer and understand each other more. The entire human experience seems to be about understanding after all.

I bet there's one Commodore computer your dog likes the most 😉
Ok, I admit this sailed right over my head. Explain? I currently have no Commodores.
actually is much simplier than MrEWhite supposed. I was thinking about the Commodore... ...PET 🤣
35 but I'm really 15 I tell ya 🤣 🤣 🤣
16, god damn this thread makes me feel young. I used to watch my dad play in his office with all these PC's, kinda what got me interested (and what gave me half a collection!)
I own too many computers to count.

35, girlfriend and 3 1/2 month old daughter.
Worked in a hobby computer store from 1999 to 2003. I like hardware up to Pentium 4 era, then I lost interest. This never changed 😀 PC's I would like to rebuild from my youth:
An 'Octec' brand 386 SX 16MHz. Further specifications unknown.
A 'Planhold' brand 486 DX/2 66MHz, VLB, SB16 & Creative CDROM (added later).

Enjoy! Prepare for a tiring and fun time. Try and take 2-3 weeks off work right after birth if possible to help out and enjoy the special time 😀 Start sleeping now! There won't be time later 😉

Yes the lack of sleep is a killer initially, particularly a few weeks in when the initial euphoria wears off! I agree with taking as much time off as you can - there's so much to learn, and the only way to do it is hands on.
Have fun mate!
Life? Don't talk to me about life.
