But DC-300 is an isa16 only scsi controller. They can't work faster, that isa itself.

From my experience it did work faster. But I no longer have the card nor the board I used it in to test it with an benchmark program.

Even if the chipset should be broken save the DFI board for spare sparts.

These board already go for $50-$100+ in working condition and in a few years (especially if AMD leaves the x86 scene) when the nostalgia for tweaking socket 939 gets going the sky is the limit. At some point it might even be worth to replace the nForce chipset if its broken. People repairing consoles often have reballing gear.

I've just bought on an Integraph TD-310 graphical workstation with a Pentium Pro 200 MHz (256 KB L2) procerssor, 128 MB FPM RAM, two SCSI HDDs (one with Windows NT 4, the other with Windows 2000 Workstation installed) and a Matrox Millenium II 8MB graphic card. If everything goes well, I'll pick it up on this Sunday. I'm considering upgrading the CPU to another 200 MHz Pentium Pro with 1024KB L2 cache from Ebay.

Congrats with a solid and durable Elitebook! Love that design. We have hundreds of 2530p, 2540p, 6930p and 8440p at work and they were the last breed with 16:10 screens. Sadly 16:9 took over after that and i hated that on my 2560p.

Just arrived. Biostar M7VIT BRAVO (socket 462). Gonna use this to build an early Win XP/DX9 machine with an Athlon xp 2600+ (333Mhz fsb) and a Radeon 9800 pro.

Any-which-way, very nice looking machine there. I have the HP Folio13 from a few years ago and it's very nicely put together from what I've seen; the HP in your picture looks like its stronger, meaner, big brother. 🤣

An HP notebook that actually doesn't look stupid?! And durable as well?! Well, all HP notebooks I usually see are the cheaper consumer-grade models, and they generally suck (trying too hard to look cool while overheating), but this thing looks awesome.

Superb machines I have an 8570w [pretty similar] for work. Easily the best laptop I ever came across.

I got my package at the local Post today. 486 mobo, Pentium Overdrive cpu (PODP5V 83MHz) somekind of edo ram. (all this cost with shipping about 7 €). The Pentium Overdrive is the most special in this package. It was full of dust. I cleaned it with a small brush.

Nothing like a GeForce 880M, which is a far newer chip. According to Wikipedia, the Quadro FX 880 uses a GT216GLM core, which looks like a modified GeForce GT 220 core (GT216 in that card).

Not exactly bought,since I found it at a dumpster,but I got my hands on this IBM Model M keyboard. (07-09-1995. Lexmark International INC 1985).
I have to get the water outta it though,and gotta wire back the PS/2 cable (it's been ripped off literally)

Screw that.. that thing needs two of these:

A guy dropped off a "desktop" today. Apparently it used to be a HP Pavilion A000 according to the sticker on the side. No side panels, no front panel and it was thrown out a window and sat in the woods for a month. Unknown Athlon xp, powersupply, and an Asus K7vbx-la motherboard. Needs a good cleaning but it will be interesting to see if it works!

That may not work out like you planned. I have a TDZ 410 and it has two PPro's in it but only one is socketed, the other one is soldered. You may have to match the one you put in the socket with the soldered one. I wish they were both socketed so I could upgrade them both to Pentium II Overdrives.

I was wanting to buy one of those a couple of years back. From what I've heard, the EliteBooks are way better, way more durable than HP's consumer grade portable furnaces by far. And it somehow manages to look better than those things as well.

Bought a MPU-401 BOB on CL in TX to preserve it.
