That is a nice case. Seen it on youtube, were someone reused it for a project of some sort.
As far as I could tell, it is made from thick plates.

Was this on ebay? I would raise hell. You clearly didn't get the item in the description. This is a scam.
It wasnt on ebay and didn't cost a lot, so not a big deal but dissapointing anyway. he sayd he offered me this card on a photo, he did, i just thought he pulled it out of the box for the photo. Since it was in a sealed bag i could not see it was a normal version and he didn't have it in his ad. I clearly settled for a price for the BOXED ULTRA. He stated that one is going for a lot more....
The whole deal was about the asus socket7 board anyway so i'm glad that one is complete and it fully works. The v770 was new and works fine as well. Lesson learned, communication is very important.

It happens to me too. I see a photo and think this is what I'll get. Last time there were two AGP cards. Hercules 3D Prophet III Ti500 and some ATI 9200. I wanted Ti500 and payed for both. He even said he added one more. What I got was that ATI from the picture, one noname and some Asus TNT 🙁 Still waiting for him to send me that Hercules 😒
One time there was pictured boxed Windows 95, sealed, unopened. What I got was opened and a bit torn box 😒 At least with all the contents.
Local sites, not eBay.
I guess I'll have to clearly and definitely ask what do I get and in what condition. Picture doesn't say a 1000 words any more 😠

Still scamming, I would say.... Or at least in the darkish-grey field.
One can only ask the seller, if the picture is of the item in question.

yeah, like some people think you just want old stuff. they don't know the difference between items. It is a bit of a gamble sometimes but buying from such people can be hugely rewarding as they don't know the value.

It's always a problem in this game. Some people think everything old is worthless; others think everything old is worth a fortune. Some don't have a clue what they're selling, and others know exactly what they're selling but try and claim it is something better than it is. Some mistakes are genuine (I believe my Thinkpad 600 being advertised as a 600E was a genuine error - there was little reason to lie, and everything else was exactly as described, plus it was a S&R system anyway), others aren't (I bought a slim PS2 that was pictured with the power brick, but never received the brick - and it was an older, less well-developed version of the PS2 slim that I'd deliberately tried to avoid for compatibility reasons.)

True... Absolutely true...
I know a seller, that exactly knows what he is selling. Luckely he does not regard sourght after hardware, as something valueable.
So the good stuff is cheap, and the lesser good stuff is even cheaper.
Recently. I have seen someone try to sell an old Asrock Socket 478 motherboard with bad cap's for the price of 73 US Dollars.
And it had nothing, not even the I/O shield. Personally I think he might have slept under a rock for 10 years. 😁 😁
Then there are those random seller's that just think old stuff is old junk. I have had someone giving me an Matrox G400.
For free. Just because I bought an SB-Live from him. Well.... I got an 100mbit 3com PCI card too for free from him.

Got an Apricot VS660 P166 Machine , but this one I modified into a DOS machine. , by bringing the CPU down to a P75 clock speed and reducing the RAM to 24MB , I wanted 32MB but for whatever reason , it refuses to boot with the RAM sticks I have. , the motherboard is an Intel ATX "Thor" board , with the 430FX chipset, it had an SIS graphics card (as well as an onboard S3 Trio) which I replaced with a S3 Virge DX, as well as a CT1740 SB16 card (which has now been joined by an Ensoniq Soundscape , and an adaptec SCSI adapter attached to a Nakamichi 5 in 1 disc drive. There was a tape backup drive which I replaced with a CD drive until I find something to put there instead. the original 1.2GB SCSI drive is missing, so instead its using a 10GB IDE hard drive, formatted with DOS 6.22 and Win3.11
did quite a bit of cable tidying too, applied Arctic Silver 5 to the CPU , and generally gave it a good clean (the insides were caked with dust)
it also arrived with a big pile of floppy disks , mainly the DOS 6.22 , Win3.1 , Win3.11 and Win95 installations disks.
Nice pickup, those Nakamichi changer drives command a premium from what I've seen!
I really like that Apricot case. It's beautifull I think.

My 486 box has one
Edit: Nevermind. Mine is NEC branded. But it looks just like it
I have a Teac 6-Disc one, it is awesome. Had a Panasonic but it didn't work, shame because it could appear as a single drive and you could swap disc on the front panel - useful for old multi-CD adventure/puzzle games... Still, it had CD-ROMs in when I got it and it was cheap, so it was well worth the money I paid even if it did only work for five minutes.
RoTH and Atlantis without having to disc swap, it's the only way to play it.

This is one of the coolest things I have ever seen--I love Mitsubishi and always wanted Nakamichi branded products. What a cool system!

Well this is neat. Curiosity turned up what I guess is someone's mirror of the old Mitsubishi site. Nice timeline.

Got me self some Voodoo2-SLI setup in the mail today. And because it is Creative cards, I have been asking about 8/12mb recently.
And yeah... Been asking about SLI recently too.
I know that they are 8mb. On the other hand, the deal is somewhat special in a couple of ways. Not the cards, they are not "special".
First. I actively asked a couple of seller's (actually a lot) untill I found one that had them. He does not think of them other than some old hardware.
So. I actively began digging, searching and eventually found them where I least would suspect them to be. What a 1 year journey. 😀
Second. The price.... Looking at ebay and other places, I realise that it is a totally fair deal.
I paid 200 Danish Kroner's wich is roughly the same as 29.40 US Dollars, for BOTH cards. Can't beat that. Even for 8mb cards.
They came complete with two LoopBack cables. Sadly no SLI cable. (have one my self, and they can be homemade too)
I might be able to dig up more cards if I wanted to. I just don't think that it can be done this cheap. And I can't wait to get them going.
Yeah.. Mmmm... These cards mean something special to me... As I had to work for a SLI at a low price.

I picked up an IBM 8513 CRT today. And 3 AT keyboards. One has missing keys.
Awe64 gold arrived today, no original box etc. but did come with original cd.
payd 10 euro plus shipping, not bad considering the ebay madness at the moment.

Yeah.... True that.
Got my Gold cards at aprox the same price-range (+/- 50%)
Ebay is simply just too expensive.
Another hint for people just to hang on to their AWE32's
You never know where you can get another when ebay becomes the only source left.

Not long ago I sold my lovely boxed NES and then within weeks realised that I need a boxed NES in my life. Am I mental? Possibly. Whatever, I bought a new one. Someone had replaced the 72 connector with a crappy repro, which is a shame, and they hadn't re-installed the cart-caddy properly. There was no damage done however, and after a cleanup it's looking good and loading games like a champ. Now I just need to re-buy a second controller and Super Mario Bros and I'll be back where I started (not counting an undisclosed amount of money 😵 )
Life? Don't talk to me about life.
