I've inherited an XP machine that runs WP5.1 out of DOSBox rather than the usual MSDOS Icon configuration. I'd like to access control features that typically were available when you'd right-click that MSDOS Icon: i.e., idle sensitivity, shortcut keys, etc. How can I do this when it's running out of DOSBox. Also, when in WP5.1, the CTRL key doesn't function, and I'm not sure why that is.

Thanks for any help.

Hi,

WP5.1 works correctly under the NTVDM included with Windows XP. I suggest that you run it directly from Windows and not from DOSBox.

Here are the details:

Also, remember that you have to turn off the "Num lock" before starting WP5.1, and then turn it on when you're inside the program. Failure to do this will result in an excessively slow cursor!

Cheers.

I'm familiar with those instructions, but they don't work for every computer. There are sometimes conflicts that cause lockups, etc.
