Hi,

Congratulations for DOSBox, a great emulator ! It's really a good job !

I use DOSBox since v0.61, and on this version I was able to run 2nd Reality demo without problem.

But since 0.62, when I start it, i have the following message after sound mode selection :

"Fatal signal : segmentation fault (SDL parachute deployed)"

This message appears in v 0.63 too.

Any idea to solve this ?

My desktop is set to 32 bits. Should I modify that ?

edit: I just set it to 16 bits, idem 🙁

just tried it with 0.63
works fine

you might want to check your 2nd reality download as it runs fine with default setup of dosbox

2nd reality also starts fine here.
But I kept it running for some time and it froze in a later part (after the monkey picture).

I don't understand either 😀 It seems to run perfectly for me.

Here is what I did:

Read the instructions listed on PAiN.
Downloaded 2nd_real.zip .
Downloaded 2ndpatch.zip.
Unpacked the demo (2nd_real.zip) into a demo directory.
Unpacked the patch (2ndpatch.zip) and placed the "fixer" ((2ndfix.exe) in the demo directory.
Created a DOSBox configuration (dosbox.conf) according to the instructions and put it in the demo directory:
```
1[dosbox]
2memsize=32
3
4[cpu]
5cycles=5000
6
7[sblaster]
8type=none
9
10[dos]
11xms=false
```

Started DOSBox:

1dosbox -conf demo\dosbox.conf demo\2ndfix.exe

Hit ENTER to start the demo.
Leaned back and enjoyed the show!
