Nice to hear from you Roy, where have you been?
Very handsome machine - what sound card? Is that a Live! under the cooler bracket?
Life? Don't talk to me about life.

Nice!
The uncached RAM isn't giving you any problems btw?

Could you tell me more about your custom BIOS?
I've actually been interested in this subject myself for years now but other interests have so far always prevailed over doing custom BIOS mods, but I'm still looking into what the easiest way is to get into BIOS modding 😀
So far no issues here but i haven't pushed it to it's limits.

It's not era correct but that was never my primary concern since it is cobbled together. I'm looking out for a vintage case but I haven't found one that I like yet locally and eBay is way too expensive right now with the Canadian dollar stuck in a bottomless pit. I had tons of problems at first but it was because the PSU I had on hand was faulty.
Intel TC430HX motherboard
Intel 200MHz Pentium (runs at 233MHz without issues)
64GB EDO 60ms RAM
12MB Voodoo 2
32MB Ati Rage 128 Pro (might change to a Matrox with DVI)
2X320GB Seagate IDE hard drives (only IDE drives I had on hand)
LG DVD Multi Drive (original Lite-On CD-ROM started flaking out)
3.5" and 5.25" Floppy drives (more because I'd never used a 5.25" floppy before)
Intel Pro 100 NIC
Audician 32 Plus ISA sound card (probably no different than onboard sound but I wanted a physical card)
Microsoft Bus Mouse (ISA Slot)
IBM Model M keyboard

I know that board, the onboard audio is pretty good and if yours has the optional wave table it you got it made as it would be pretty good for DOS.

Your rig looks fine to me 😀
The case I don't like as much, but that's more because it's indeed a bit too new for your (btw very nice "wish I had one of these myself" ATX HX boarded) rig. It's cobbled together alright 😜 But in the end it's more about your satisfaction with it 😀
And please do tell me where to get 32GB EDO SIMMs 😁
The case will definitely be replaced when I find a nice vintage one. One thing about a modern case is that the ability to cable manage can't be beat.
Ooops 64MB or RAM. I'd think the cost of 64GB worth or RAM would be more than the Gross Domestic Product of some countries in 1997.
Just found a monitor for my ps/2 system... Practically new, never used and alomost for no money) Decided to post everething together)
That monitor is like a magical portal into the past 😎
