So I'll post in four orders (1 => 2 => 3 => 4), all of them are on the same machine and hardware, but with different configs.
Global config (not changed)
-80GB IDE HDD 7,2KRPM
-128mb sdram
-1mb l2 cache
-AGP:VOODOO 3 3000
-MS-5184 motherboard
-ISA:Guillemot Maxi Sound Game Theater 64
-PCI:generic ethernet board
-PCI:Usb 2.0 5 in 1
-VIA MVP3
3DMark score: 1298 => 1254 => 1424 => 1542
Processor score: 1596 => 1440 => 1696 => 1810
Rasterizer score:2097 => 2074 => 2100 => 2119
Extra:
Quake 2 Demo1: 38.8 => 38 => 43.1 => 45.8
Note:
The sdram was a PC133, so there wasn't actually an overclock on it, but there was on the processor
Ran 3DMark99 on my new Pentium Pro build (probably the closest machine Ive had to my first PC which also most likely used a Pentium Pro)
VS440FX Motherboard
Pentium Pro 180Mhz /256k
64MB EDO (might expand it to 128mb when I get the chance)
ATI Rage Pro 8MB
DIamond Monster 3D 3dfx Voodoo1
PowerVR Apocalypse3d PCX1
SB AWE64Gold
70GB HDD on a Ultra100 adapter.
Windows95B
compared to the P133 running similar hardware (though using faster SDRAM) this is a very nice result, about twice as fast. I suppose its a demonstration of the Pro's strength with 3D graphics .
WInNT4 would be a screamer on this , but I sadly have relatively little use for it, and it lacking FAT32 support doesnt help
^^ I know what you mean by expensive. The secret is being patient...
Here's the same setup as before, but with one change:
CPU: Via C3 Ezra-T 866MHz overclocked to 1200 MHz, FSB 133MHz, 9x Multi, BIOS disabled for Video and BIOS cacheable (needed for Win98SE to boot):
4017 3D Marks, 8031 CPU Marks - a nice jump at the same CPU clock.
