So this is one of my all time favourite games. I found the shareware version on a 1992 cover disk of PC Plus magazine. I never invested in the full version back in the day and it now seems my opportunity has passed. Incredibly the official website for the game still exists here:

It hasn't been updated since 1999 and I have made numerous efforts to track down the author. Given that it was never released to retail and therefore extremely unlikely to show up on eBay, does anyone have any advice on how I might acquire a legitimate copy of this game?

The original Arkanoid by Taito was released on just about every platform in existence at the time, PC included. Why not get a copy of that instead?

Actually the second one really sucked (the one with the EGA/mouse support), the first one (CGA) has pretty much descent controls for its time and target system.

Why stop there? one can also get mame+rom and play the real deal...
But that's not the point in OP's request GoblinUpTheRoad , he searches this specific clone for nostalgia reasons - not to play the ultimate Arkanoid clone 😉

Well in the original documentation there is a postal address for the developer... or rather his parents. I am going to write them and enquire about license availability. Worth the cost of a stamp!

Edit: I did actually complete the SNES version of Arkanoid and loved it. Although it went on forever!
