I've already started to bulid my AMD K6-2 DOS/Win95 time machine PC (super-socket 7 board) last weekend and i'll show also some photos later in another post.
But i had also an incident/ problem which i wasn't able to solve, even after the install of different drivers and several re-install of windows.
The problem: my logitech optical usb mouse (M-UV69), connected with a usb-to-PS/2 adapter, will definitely not work using mouse PS/2 port on Win95 or Win98.
I've tried it with several drivers, logitech mouse ware 8.2, 9.6.1 on Win95 and also 9.7.9.1 on Win98.
Due to the situation that i've installed Win95b with USB support, i've installed additional driver for this USB support, but with direct USB connection the mouse don't work. With Win98 and USB, i can use it.
During installation the mainboard, i was staggerd to see a little damage directly at the boards corner near the two PS/2 ports. The bottom keyboard port works fine with a USB-to-PS/2 adapter, anytime. But the top will not.
I will also run Windows in MSDOS mode, so the mouse will not work with a dircect USB connetion i asume, or not?
The main idea now is to use an adapter PS/2 to serial port, cause the serial port will be definitely OK.
