This year I decided to demonstrate some my vintage computers at an exhebition of vintage cars and other antiques, at the Sorokin's Oldtimer Gallery in Sokolniky Park, Moscow... Here are some pics...

Very cool! Awesome to see the younger kids enjoying the older tech. Also some very nice cars there!

PCs, Macs, old and new... too much stuff.

Same here. Photo's very well taken.
I must actually make an effort myself to go to these "vintage" exhibitions when they're in town.
Was quite nice to also see some vintage computers on display.

I like your pics! Thank you for posting them!

I wish there were some descriptions, though. I'm not well-versed in automobile history here in the USA, much less what is/was available in Russia. The cars are very nice looking and I would like to know more about them.

I especially like your picture of the Pedersen bike. How interesting to see it suspended, off the ground, as if it is too old/rare to be ridden anymore. From what I know of them, Pedersens have a cult-like following of owners who still ride them regularly. I would love the opportunity to own, or even just ride, a Pedersen bike. They are very cool, and very expensive.

What's the story behind the marching band? Is there a special significance to the uniforms they are wearing? What about the couple playing the accordian and guitar?

I love the reaction your display of vintage computers is getting, especially the one guy taking photos of your collection. I see you have a gamepad connected to at least one of them. Did you have some games set up for your guests to play? Which games did you make available? Were they running Win95/Win98?

Great post! I really enjoyed your photos! Thanks!

Edit: If you're into antique cars, Jay Leno has some really good YouTube videos of his collection of steam-powered vehicles:

Thanks everebody for the good words about my pictures) I'm a photographer first of all, old computers and other old stuff it's my only hobby..)

About the event - the Sorokin's Oldtimer - it's an exhebition of retro cars and other antiques, which takes two times a year... It's founded by Ilia Sorokin, owner of a company, making auto tools and a retro car's collectioner. Every exposition has a topic - this time it was "the garage number one" - about the cars and other vehicles, that carried leaders and other top officials - from Czar Nikolas II and Lenin to the present rulers. The previous time exhebition was about racing cars, the one that before about the war machines and especially WWII vehicles - there was even a fighter plane in exhebition, found in a swamp few years ago...

the marching band - i'ts Kremlin official unit of military musicians. The couple, playing the guitar and accordeon - it's founders of the band, called Wallace Band, my friends - they are playing Celtic, Irish, Scottish, Tolkiniest and other fantasy folk-songs.

The games and other software I was demonstrating and let the visitiors to play - were:
QuakeII, Red Baron II, WIn 98 on P-II Dell.
DooM-I,Duke3d,Descent,Heretic,Lollypop,Hexen,Lost_Vikings,Win_95,Win311, ACDsee, Photoshop4,5 on P-I machines
Alley_Cat,Red_Baron_1,Duke_Nukum_1,Elf,Prince Of Persia,Stunts,Test Drive III,Arctic Fox, Win3_1 on 286 and 388SX machines.

Also there were two Macintosh laptops with OS 9.2...

Here are the pictures from the previous Olditmers from my blog -

About the bikes - it was the part of the greatest bike collectioner in the country, Andrey Miatiev.
He organises retro-bike events, This year this event is international...

Here are the pictures of such an event in the Sokolniki Park, in summer of 2014

All great choices! I know I would have spent considerable time on your Red Baron displays. It's one of my favorites.

All your pics are great, but I especially love your photos of this event! I love how folks are even wearing old-timey clothes to go along with their bikes. I would love to go to an event like this.

In your #2 and #4 pics there, the girl wearing the red hat is riding a bike that is similar to one coming back into production.
