Hello Vogon's, not quite sure if this is the right forum, but my friend, who owns an SC-55 unit, manged to somehow get the roms from it. The roms are named:

roland_r15209363.ic23 256 KB

roland-gss.a_r15209276.ic28 1,024 KB

roland-gss.b_r15209277.ic27 1,024 KB

roland-gss.c_r15209281.ic26 1,024 KB

Is it possible to make a software that can read the rom's and use them in a fashion similar to MUNT?

Before anyone ask's, no, I am not posting the rom's for legal reason's

Thank you for reading, ~Dell

Sample based MIDI synthesis is handled in a more standardized way than LA synthesis in the MT-32 series. The most proprietary element of the SC-55 is the sample set itself.

If you can figure out how the samples are arranged/compressed within those files/chips ... sure.
