An older HP xw4600 'workstation'
I got it second hand for free, it was lacking most parts though, including the side panel. Luckily I found one.
Quirks,
-Very picky with RAM, unclear if it can take a maximum of 8 or 16 GB,
-Despite having two PCIe x16 slots, it is not capable of SLI or Crossfire.
-Despite being made in around 2009 or so it still has PCIe 1.1, this imposses some limitation on my GPU.
Specifications is a Xeon X3363, clocked at 2.83 with 4 cores.
8GB of DDR2 RAM
SoundBlaster XFi
Killer NIC (because I think a 400MHz cpu for a network card is hilarious)
250GB Solid State Drive (for Windows 7 and apps)
2TB Hard Drive for 'stuff'
GPU is a Geforce GT 730, it has 2GB of RAM
DVD Drive
Media card reader with a built in Floppy Drive that dosen't work for some reason.
Other things of note:
Apparently HP had a front fan option, but it required some sort of sheeth or sleeve that I naturally had no access to. So I managed to bolt a fan in front myself using a guide I found online.
The Xeon is a 771 socket CPU and is not meant for a Socket 775, I put a special sticker of sorts on the bottom of the CPU and trimmed the plastic around the socket and voila, a Xeon. It was pretty cheap and had enough advantages over the Core2 Quad that I didn't see the harm.
The monitor is a 1600x900 HP from a few years back.
I use a Unicomp Model M keyboard
I don't have speakers connected, rather I use vintage Koss 4aa Headphone
My controller is a USB playsega controller inside a genuine Sega Saturn controller shell.
My mouse is an old microsoft optical mouse.
I gave up on modern gaming so the lack of analog sticks don't bother me much.
