If replacíng a standard ATX cases's power button with a small tactile switch when using it to power on an ATX PSU and an AT motherboard, would this button work?

On the website http://www.ebay.com/itm/50pcs-Latching-7x7mm- … s-/261188912390 reads following:

Rated Load: DC 30V 0.5A

Is this enough, so the switch doesn't overheat/melt etc?

Provided you're only connecting an ATX supplie's PS_ON to GND you should be fine as this is only a signal and doesn't use much current.

Unless someone else has had negative experiences with this, because I'm just going by the numbers. I've not yet had to change out a switch like this because I've been lucky enough to have cases which take larger, traditional latching switches.
