It depends on the game. Some allow you to just copy the contents to the hard drive; others you can trick by editing CFG files and changing drive letters, some might require more dubious hacks. For example, I bought Wing Commander 3 from GOG.com. It has a 1.8GB ISO image that I burned to a DVD. I found that it ran fine off of the single DVD, but then I discovered if I copied the DVD to the HDD and ran the install from there, it ran fine without the disc. The only trouble was at 1.8GB it took up its own DOS 6.22 partition by itself. I don't own Rama so I can't help you with that specific program.

I take it you've googled already? I just googled "rama no cd" and some link in the first few hits seemed to indicate it was very difficult, or couldn't be done for this game. I did not read carefully, just scanned, so I could've missed something.

I take that back. One of the links to SquirtTheCat has some relevant information for you. That's all I'll say as I'm not sure the method they use is allowed to be discussed on these forums.

Is this included in dosbox 0.74, or is it your home brew? I'm interested in a copy.

You can choose an existing DOSBox already installed on your computer or allow the installer to download stock 0.74. You can get it from the link in my sig.

Do you with that mean that I can mount several dvd-drives, each with its own drive letter, and then switch between them with CTRL-F4?

No, it is just switching between images CTRL+F4.

No, you mount images of the CDs to one drive letter (imgmount allows that) and you switch CD images by pressing ctrl-f4
