I am currently use Delock cf to ide adapter in my 5x86 project. It works just OK.

The only problem I'm facing is that I can't get HDD led on my case working with this thing.

The strange thing is that when I used exactly the same adapter on 4DPS motherboard, HDD led worked without any problems.

Do you have any idea what could be the reason for such strange inconsequence? I would prefer to avoid attaching HDD activity led cable directly to the adapter, but I will consider this solution (there is activity led on the adapter which I thought could be desoldered and substituted with 2 pins header).

the led cable should plug into the motherboard. the cf adapter has nothing to do with the led, the led is controlled by the ide chipset (northbridge/southbridge).. maybe you plugged the cable in back to front. its only two pins, did you try flipping it over?

On the off chance the LED burned out. Highly unlikely, but it has happened.

Got it. The IDE led burned out indeed. I have already replaced it with a new one. Seems quite dim, but works fine.

Thank you and sorry about that dumb question.
