I have a problem with my Force Feedback Pro joystick:
Under Win95, i've installed the sidewinder 3.0 drivers. After installing these drivers, the joystick will be seen in the system panel of this software as "Ok", and when i wanna go to properties,
for calibrate and other setting, a info box comes with the message: "The controller has no power. Please consider if the connection (power cable) is established." Without the power cable, the bottom yellow led is blinking, and with power cable connected it's constantly on.
Maybe it seems to be really the same problem than: http://www.pprune.org/archive/index.php/t-33429.html
I don't know if maybe my soundcard (with the gameport) Avance logic with the ALS100+ is the problem, or Win95 itself...
My system is actually: SS7 System (K6-2 @170MHz, FSB 68MHz), 64MB, GF2-MX and a PnP ISA soundcard avance logic ALS 100+.
A test under DOS with WingCommander3 has also failed 😠 there was no calibration possible in WC3. Actually now, i don't know if under Win98SE the joystick will work better..., the newer driver Sidewinder 4.0, will definitely work only with win98+. Maybe it was a bad decision to buy this microsoft joystick... 😢
