I fired up Quarantine on Windows DOSBox 0.74 and was so happy that the intro video just works (and with sound - qvidaud.bat).

However on Mac OSX, it crashes on the video. I've tried 0.74 universal binary and also Boxer. Actually the former you can see its trying to play the video but the refresh rate is super slow even on highest CPU cycle.

Any ideas how to fix this?

Yes, try mine 😉 but I think it might crash anyway...
( or try to be more informative - Dosbox runs on many OS X version).

See

above, which is very recommended today.

Thanks guys. I'll give that build a go and report back 😀

EDIT: Just tried it and I still have the same problem. So it does play but the screen has a heavy green tint and each frame of the video takes about 5-10 seconds to load.

I guess I could just watch the video on youtube as a last resort but would be wonderful to have this working. I wonder why its different on OSX? I am using a MacBook Pro 2013 with El Capitan. Its actually reasonably more powerful than my PC. The video in-game I believe uses something called "DUK VIDEO", which I believe is related to these guys - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/On2_Technologies

Turn off the GUS and use SB16 for audio in Setup. GUS needs to be off even if SB16 is selected.

Just noticed this reply. What do you mean by turn off GUS? I can't see how to do this.

Have you managed to get this working on MacOS?

EDIT:

gus=false

It works! Its fixed the video. I cannot believe this. Thank you so much!
