Oh boy, lotsa problems with this one.
First the fan (fixed with some oil) and now when ever I go into a low graphics mode scenario (DOS prompt, BIOS, etc.) and sometimes in high resolution games with a still image and moving (Outlaws) I get a TON of screen tear (horizontal lines on the screen) on my GA-6VTXE with a Pentium 3 @ 1.4 GHz. Is there a fix for this?

In this day and age this card is a bit "rare" given how few of them are left so take your time with it 😀 Does the card work in windows to where that it is stable and there are no odd glitches?

On a far away planet reading your posts in the year 10,191.

Yeah, the card works perfectly in Windows and Glide games (GLQuake and Quake 2 with AA)

Nothing to worry about, your card is fine. This is caused by Write Combining I believe and I've witnessed it on many systems. It usually happens when running VGA modes, VESA is usually fine.

Sometimes there's a related BIOS setting you can use to make performance slower essentially and get rid of it. I don't know of any other workaround unfortunately 🙁.
