300xl wont post

I have an ibm 300xl board which I just bout and I cant get it to post. I have the correct power supply and cpu and ram. So far ive tried

diferent cpus
different ram sticks in different slots
diffwrwnt monitors
riser both in and out
playing with the cpu jumpers
installed in and out of case
tried pci gpu
tried diffwrent cmos battery
tried no ram and wont even give me an error beep

is this board a dud?

I know it might be a jerk thing to do but I'm going to bump this just in case someone who knows maybe didn't see it yesterday hopefully 😀

yes it works just fine on a pc350 board

Can you post a picture (or pictures) that shows the board? Perhaps someone can spot something by a picture.

Don't eat stuff off a 15 year old never cleaned cpu cooler.
Those cakes make you sick....

ok i figured out the problem.

The board uses an early ibm half AT half Atx power supply that has a soft switch. The board is suppose to have a relay of sorts that activates the AT power supply using the board soft switch. that relay wasn't working. And after several tries , the relay exploded. So the board went from being never used NOS , to completely fried.

I had something similar happen to an ibm aptiva a while back. Seems like this transitional power supply setup just wasn't a good idea for them.
