Received yet another miss packaged and non functioning board from amazon via a third party seller, not only was the board shipped in reused bubble wrap the package stank the moment is opened it! Fucking morons couldn't even bother to notice that one of the memory slots was physically broken and missing a tab but the cpu socket once again wasn't capped so there were bent pins. Seriously what the fuck is wrong with people these days, if idiots on eBay were bad enough people (sellers) on amazon are complete morons!

Moral of the story never buy anything (hardware) that is fucking used off amazon ever again because people retards. 😠

I don't think I've bought computer hardware on Amazon. I do buy music that way though. Received a LP shaped like a Pringle on one occasion.

Is this too much voodoo?

Every single time we order a book on Amazon, it comes mispackaged in a thin box with no bubble wrap, so of course the cover is bent or there are pages bent or the cover is scratched or something else is wrong with it. Every single time, I kid you not. It doesn't matter whether we order direct from Amazon or from a seller. They all appear to be retards where books are concerned.

Well i went in a case where the store who sold me one vga card shipped with a unreadable shipping label(as mentioned on object tracking system), so the package was returned because the delivery guy could not read the destination address.
Retards, retards everywhere.

I've bought many things direct from amazon and never had a problem. Amazon sellers on the other hand are only as good as they are I've had both good experiences and bad. Only thing i've ever bought used on amazon however are books.

Last year I bought an IDE CD-ROM on Amazon but the guy sent me a SATA. What a waste of time. 😀

Poor packaging seems to be a theme with Amazon Marketplace seller. Since when was a plastic bag wrapped with tape an acceptable packaging method?
On the plus side I believe Amazon asks sellers to pay for return postage and the one A2Z (like eBay Buyer Protection) claim I opened was paid out by Amazon quickly.

from Amazon I buy only new hardware or stickers, ebay for all used stuff.

Though even on new stuff its not always pretty. ORdered a case once from them, it was shapped all wrong when i got it, it sat at an angle like someone pushed on the top while preventing the bottom from going foward as well. Then it also got out of square on the bottom so it no longer sat level. I sent it back for a refund with a note inside saying "wtf" thats all i had in it

Thankfully I've received no items damaged from shipping yet, Amazon or otherwise. I put a lot of time into finding a seller with the best reputation I can.

I did recently get a Sound Blaster 16 with very poor packaging... it literally just had a thin sheet of cardboard wrapped and taped around it. Not even a bubble envelope. Thankfully the card seemed unscathed and it worked fine.

Not exactly Amazon seller this time.

Today, I found an sales ad with 3 Matrox cards (g400-Max, G450 and Millenium), and the add clearly stated that I buyers had to come with an offer. Well... I did make an offer of 20 US Dollars shipped. The seller repeated with an counteroffer of 30 US Dollars. Allright, I thought to my self, he wants to bargain. So I threw another offer of 22 back at him. He replied with 30 again. Hmmm... I thought. I asked what he wanted for the G400-Max alone, and he replied with 12 US Dollars. I thought that it was great, and just wanted to ask him if he meant with or without shipping.

To my amazement, he said that he did not want to continue replying me, and I needed to go away.... WTF????

At that point he must have realised that you weren't in the good old U.S of A 😵

There are a few things that are really annoying lately on amazon especially with the shops. Like you can't identify where a shop actually ships from. They state shipping with 1-2 days and if you order you get within 12h later a mail that the product has been shipped. A bit later you get a mail that the actual delivery date is in ~4 weeks. Because actually the shop is some company in china shipping from china main land...

Another thing with amazon is that with the global website you find a lot of products that simply do not ship to your country. (like US/Canada only) Browsing this stuff is a time waster.

I wish Amazon had a way you could rate sellers on their act 😜
