So, I've posted a number of threads now in the last month or two, I've looked at a number of the youtube channels, internet video series, sticky threads, etc that there are. I look at the projects that have been started by highly active members and that each one has a diffrent set of benchmarks they run. Which leads me to my question.

Is there a (relatively) comprehensive list of benchmarking tools broken out by OS which someone who doesn't do a lot of benchmarking can look at and put together a general purpose benchmarking toolkit? What are your favorite Benchmarks? Any other thoughts are welcome.
