Hi

I read the wiki about 4.77Mhz, this page:
https://www.dosbox.com/wiki/4.77_MHz

The link to download MIPS 1.10 is down, or have changed. I tried to search the utility with google... but no luck. I also tried on the forum but the term MIPS give me a lot of discussion about MIPS of specific configuration discussion but not the toll.

Can you give a download link for this?

Thanks in advance...

Any other mirror of the Simtelnet archive will have the file, e.g. http://ftp.freenet.de/pub/ftp.simtel.net/pub/ … ysinfo/mips.zip

However, specifically for DOSBox, I'd rather recommend TOPBENCH for benchmarking purposes.

Topbench is bad for DOSBox. If to take Doom, results of Speedtst are more adequate. For example, cycles 7800 are 386DX 40 MHz for Doom (Phil's DB), 386DX 33 MHz for Speedtst and 386DX 64 MHz for Topbench. The other: 315 cycles are XT for Speedtst and 1.5*XT for Topbench: try to play in Digger to compare 315 and 210 cycles, what is more comfortable.

For posterity, and possibly to get the wiki updated, it looks like MIPS moved on the sunset ftp server. It's still there, but now it resides at

ftp://ftp.sunet.se/mirror/archive/ftp.sunet.s … ysinfo/mips.zip

The other link provided here is dead, and my googling literally only turned up this thread
