So if I understood correctly, some games running on Cyrix based Socket 7 systems, require patches to help prevent crashes and perhaps other kinds of bugs.

Does anyone know whether there is a comprehensive list somewhere of which games actually require patching?
I have tried google, but I don't think such a list exists? Anyone know which games (and maybe other popular programs) should be patched when using a Cyrix CPU?

I think Trespasser broke on Cyrix once.

Initial release and demos worked fine on Cyrix (mx at least). It really needed patching for the palette-less 3d cards (which were Riva 128/TNT at the time).

This is useful information, thanks.

Just to note, I know virtually nothing about these bugs, except that I heard and read many complaints about the Cyrix chips having all kinds of problems.
Which other features (or hardware) are buggy using Cyrix chips except for palette-less 3D cards? All and any info would be welcome.

Not MX, but I can imagine the older 6x86 (not L) causing issues for getting detected as a 486. among other things
